I can't describe the over whelming feeling I got last week when I attempted to run on the treadmill for the first time since 28th September 2011 at 10.36am! The date and time are embedded in my brain because that is when I ripped my calf whilst running, as many of you will have already read about.
It tentatively started off as a brisk walk then gradually progressed to a jog and then finally a real run - I'm sure everyone in the gym at the time looked at me when I shouted out for joy - it was like I had learnt to walk again! I have my calf back!
It's still not 100% but it now means I can get out on the road again.
I have now entered for the Norwich Half Marathon which is at the end of November so I have approximately 4 weeks to get to full fitness again. :D
